How does it work?

The SafeCasualtyPlus app provides easy access to registered emergency care providers on our database. Users need to download the app and register with either their email or a Nigerian phone number for verification. Once registered, when users log on to the app, it will show them emergency care providers on the database that are nearest to their current location and provide directions to the selected facility. The app is of greater value when individuals are away from their usual health service provider and in unfamiliar geographical locations. The app enables the user to make an informed decision on where they want to go.

There is also a section on prevention that provides information and tips on how to minimise the probability of needing to attend an accident and emergency room.


Qualifying criteria for healthcare providers

At Safe Casualty Plus, we value continuous improvement as we believe that there is no perfect healthcare system. It is important that services adopt known best practices that are evidence- based and have systems in place to minimise human errors and that enable them to continue to learn and improve their services for the benefit of their patients.

To enable this, we have only 2 key criteria for joining the network. These are:-

• Commitment to continuous improvement and peer review.

 • Meeting of the minimum standards (for class of service) with regard to staff training, equipment, emergency drugs, use of protocols and data sharing.


Benefits of registering with the network

Provision of good quality emergency services is expensive and not all health care providers should, and can, provide it. Membership of the network will enable provision of quality services while leveraging the economies of scale associated with being part of a national network to ensure that it is cost effective.   This should translate to affordable care for patients when they need it.

The app will facilitate increased throughput based on quality and safe service provision which will in turn lead to efficient use of human and material assets. The members of the network will differentiate themselves based on the quality of care provided and commitment to continuous improvement. There may be a lot of emergency care beds across the country but there is a shortage of quality emergency care beds.

Members will be provided with user feedback to aid continuous improvement.


How to sign up?

The first step is to complete and submit the registration form. We will contact you for additional information, if necessary, and take it from there. We may need to visit your facility as part of the process. Link to Form Here
